Standard bass

The standard bass style build use the following rhythm on the root of the chord: On the quarter break we ad a note, depending on the following chord. Same chord: Repeat the keynote, or jump from the fifth. Major second up: Use the major third. Major third up: Use the major second. Major third down: Use the major second, or jump from fifth. Major fourth up: Jump from major third or major fifth. Major fourth down: Stepwise walk Major fifth up: Stepwise walk, or jump from major third Major fifth down: Jump from third or fifth. Sixth up: Jump from fifth. Seventh down: Jump from third. Arpeggio: Use all the notes in the chord Chromatic passing note: Good as a variation, but should not be exaggerated
